Terms of service

These terms govern your use of appealmetrics.com and anything you buy from Appealmetrics LLC (“Appealmetrics”, “we”). By checking an address, saving a report, or making a purchase, you agree to them.

What we do

Appealmetrics compares a property’s assessed value with comparable properties using public county records and licensed property data, and prepares informational self-help documents (“packets”) that you may file with your county or appraisal district.

• We prepare documents. We do not file, appear, negotiate or communicate with any county, appraisal district, assessor or review board on your behalf.
• We are not attorneys or licensed property tax consultants, and nothing we provide is legal, tax or financial advice.
• We are a private company, not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for any government agency.

Estimates are not guarantees

Verdicts, savings figures, confidence numbers and requested values are estimates built from public records on the date shown. Records can be incomplete or out of date. The appraisal review board or equivalent body makes the decision, and no outcome is promised.

Your responsibilities

• Check that the parcel, address and figures in your report match your notice before you file.
• File by your county’s deadline. Deadlines we show are read from county sources; the date on your notice controls.
• Use the service for properties you own, manage, or are permitted to review. Do not scrape the site or use it to build a competing data set.

Purchases

• Standard packet ($49) and Premium packet ($79) are one-time purchases of digital documents, delivered by email and in your dashboard.
• Tax Watch ($19 a year) renews automatically each year until you cancel. We email you 14 days before each renewal with a one-click cancel link, and you can cancel from your dashboard at any time. “I sold this home” stops reminders and Tax Watch at once.
• Prices are shown before checkout. Sales tax is added where it applies. Payments are processed by Stripe.

Refunds

We refund a packet if we cannot generate it, or if it was built for the wrong parcel. We do not refund based on the outcome of an appeal, because the county decides. Full details are on the refund policy page.

Accounts

You do not need an account to check an address or to buy. An account is created from the link in your receipt so you can download packets and manage Tax Watch. Keep access to your email secure; anyone with it can sign in.

Intellectual property

Public records remain public. The site, the packet formats, our analysis and our text are ours. You may use your packet for your own appeal and share it with your county, an attorney or an advisor.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, the service is provided “as is”, and our total liability for any claim relating to it is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for missed deadlines, appeal outcomes, or tax amounts.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and changes do not apply retroactively to purchases already made. Questions: help@appealmetrics.com.
